descriptionA very fine print, taken from 1 of only 40 copies printed on vellum of the "Theuerdanck" by Melchior Phintzing. This is page 74, and is considered the "Magnum opus" (The book, tjat is) of Leonardt Beck. The high point of German renaissence book illustration. These 40 copies were destined for highly placed personages.
