description	2 wooden benches, the seats, painted in the iconic colours of De Stijl group, (Gerrit Rietveld, etc.) red seat with black frame, and blue seat with grey frame. In style and execution, very reminiscent of Gerrit Rietveld. . Three pairs of these benches were Commisioned for the townhall at Stijen, the Netherlands in 1927. 1 pair is in the collection of the Centraal Museum Utrecht, a second pair was recently sold by a German dealer, and our pair is the third pair, and almost certainly the last pair to appear on the open market...
