descriptionThis fine and sought after map of Paris, to be dated Ca. 1585. Here we see the majestic Metropolis, with all it`s buildings, bridges and waters. The "Ile de la Cite" is well proportioned,as are the other features of this highly decorative map in this unspoiled, original black & white condition. Taken from the important "Civitatis Orbis Terrarum" by Franz Hogenberg and Georg Braun, the first ever town atlas published.
